About The Position

The Attendant (General Cleaner) is responsible for ensuring we provide the highest level of cleanliness in our guestrooms. The role involves cleaning guestrooms to include dusting, making beds, soiled linen removal from rooms, daily turndown service, and retrieval of clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, and replenishing room supplies. Additionally, the attendant will 'own' the lobby and/or public area assigned, performing regular cleaning, spot sweeping, carpet dusting when necessary, keeping glass doors and mirrors free of fingerprints, and maintaining elevators. The position requires taking the initiative to add a personalized experience for the guest, maintaining proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment, accurately reporting room status reports, and ensuring exceptional service while respecting guests' privacy and belongings.

Requirements

  • Warm and caring personality; previous housekeeping experience is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of the English language.
  • Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs.
  • Lifting requirements up to 25 lbs.
  • Carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, seeing, hearing, and speaking to guests.

Responsibilities

  • Clean guestrooms including dusting, making beds, and removing soiled linen.
  • Perform daily turndown service and retrieve clean linen from linen closets.
  • Vacuum and clean bathrooms, inside windows, and replenish room supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned lobby and/or public areas.
  • Clean mirrors, glasses, vents, and stock paper supplies in restrooms.
  • Wipe and clean all marble and tables, and dust all surfaces.
  • Report damage or malfunction in hotel rooms/areas.
  • Respond professionally and efficiently to guest requests.
  • Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards.
