About The Position

The Attendance Data Specialist - Education Consultant 2 position at the Minnesota Department of Education involves supporting schools and districts with quantitative analyses related to attendance. Requirements

• 4 years of professional experience in data management, analysis or program evaluation OR a bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional experience in data management, analysis or program evaluation.
• Experience with data analysis software such as SQL, R, STATA, Tableau, PowerBI, or others.
• Ability to analyze large data sets, create data visualizations, and write reports.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with Minnesota Tribal communities.
• Evidence of ability to collect and synthesize data about American Indian perspectives that honors cultures and histories.
• Experience working in or in collaboration with K-12 schools and districts on complex quantitative and qualitative evaluations of school-based interventions on student outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop and implement measurement and reporting options for MDE data.
• Develop processes for aligning data-informed decision-making options with policy initiatives in collaboration with COMPASS and local staff.
• Provide consultation and data analysis on attendance research initiatives and program evaluation needs.
