About The Position

The position involves providing quality patient care and education in accordance with Mobile Medicine policies and state regulations. The role requires accurate documentation of patient care, interpreting data, and responding with correct interventions to ensure optimum patient care, safety, and recovery. The individual will participate in Mobile Medicine Performance Improvement activities, administer medications and IV solutions, and maintain a clean environment including vehicles. The position also requires understanding and utilizing technology for patient assessment and clinical interventions, as well as maintaining cultural competency and understanding reimbursement payer models.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Applicable state EMT-Paramedic certification required for duration of employment.
  • South Carolina EMT-Paramedic and National Registry required within 1 year of hire.
  • Certified Community Paramedic (CP-C) or other CAMTS-designated provider credentialing required within two years of hire.
  • 3 years' full-time experience in a 9-1-1 system functioning at the paramedic level or in a high-volume emergency department.
  • Valid driver's license required and must maintain an acceptable motor vehicle operator record.

Responsibilities

  • Respect patient rights and confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Advocate policies.
  • Provide accurate and legible documentation of patient care.
  • Provide quality patient care and education in accordance with Mobile Medicine policies and state regulations.
  • Interpret data, read monitors, and respond with correct interventions.
  • Participate in Mobile Medicine Performance Improvement activities.
  • Administer medications and IV solutions safely and correctly.
  • Maintain flexibility with vehicle assignments.
  • Maintain a clean environment and ensure vehicles are in a mission-ready status.
  • Check and verify established minimum transport vehicle supply levels.
  • Understand and utilize technology for patient assessment and clinical interventions.
  • Maintain understanding of ethics and cultural competency in providing care.
  • Understand reimbursement payer models.
