About The Position

The Lead Pharmacy Technician role at ExactCare is a critical leadership position within our Fulfillment team. This opportunity is open to both internal team members seeking career growth and external candidates with relevant experience. For external applicants, we strongly prefer candidates who bring prior pharmacy leadership experience, particularly in a fulfillment or operations setting. The individual in this role will serve as a subject matter expert and day-to-day leader on their designated pharmacy team. They will collaborate closely with Pharmacy Managers to support workflow efficiency, ensure operational excellence, and uphold team accountability.

Requirements

  • For Internal Candidates: Minimum of 6 months tenure at ExactCare Pharmacy and 6 months in current role
  • No active performance management or corrective action
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and strong performance record
  • For External Candidates: Previous pharmacy technician leadership experience in a fulfillment, mail-order, or high-volume setting strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to lead teams, train peers, and manage workflow execution
  • For All Candidates: Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze data and reports to drive decisions
  • Comfortable working independently on a night shift schedule after training

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the go-to expert for team operations and daily support needs within Fulfillment
  • Coordinate technician scheduling and proactively adjust staffing based on workload demands
  • Lead and support onboarding and training of new pharmacy technicians
  • Oversee quality control processes using standard work and quality checklists
  • Monitor and prioritize STAT and special delivery orders to ensure timely fulfillment
  • Interpret, track, and take action on key reports (e.g., Missing Orders, Production Flow, Special Delivery) in Salesforce and DOMO
  • Complete end-of-day reporting and ensure shift accountability metrics are met
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication to collaborate across departments and resolve patient-impacting issues
  • Support a culture of ownership, feedback, and operational consistency by holding peers to established standards
