  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Atlassian Jira/Confluence/Jira Service Management and associated plugins in a virtualized environment.
  • Configure and customize Jira products to automate processes, improve efficiency, and enhance user experience for all stakeholders.
  • Integrate Atlassian products with CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless flow of information between development and operations teams.
  • Perform data migration from one Atlassian environment to another, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
  • Create new spaces for users in Confluence, define permissions, and maintain a well-organized knowledge base.
  • Develop custom workflows, scripts, and automations to enhance JIRA functionality and leverage add-ons to extend its capabilities.
  • Establish and maintain procedural documentation and knowledge articles and share knowledge through training and mentorship of team members.
  • Collaborate closely with different working streams and engineers to ensure Atlassian solutions align with broader business objectives.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Jira and Confluence users.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of Jira and Confluence instances.
  • Ensure data integrity and security within Jira and Confluence.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest features and updates from Atlassian.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Security+ or equivalent IAT 2 or higher certification; or the ability to obtain one within 4 months of start date
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Atlassian products specifically Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management
  • Ability to lead Atlassian automation, configuration, and implementation of projects to completion
  • Ability to resolve complex Atlassian problems and provide solutions with minimal guidance
  • Develop process documents (SOPs) for use by fellow team members
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks to accomplish goals on a given timeline
  • Virtualization experience using VMware / vSphere
  • Ability to provide general technical support for Atlassian products
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, or JavaScript
  • Experience with Atlassian SDK and plugin development
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and webhooks for integration purposes
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Atlassian certifications (e.g., Jira Administrator, Confluence Administrator)
  • Experience with Data Center version of JIRA
  • Knowledge of other Atlassian products (such as Bitbucket)
  • Experience with administration of RedHat (or derivative)
