This position is part of the Atlas Graduate Program at Siemens Digital Industries Software, focusing on electronic design automation (EDA). The role involves assisting senior engineers in conducting feasibility studies, developing test programs, and ensuring the functional quality of released products. The program offers 12 months of training and mentorship, providing a comprehensive introduction to the software challenges in EDA.

  • Assist senior engineers in conducting feasibility and functional requirements studies for automation of test routines and software programs.
  • Develop test programs based on R&D released test and verification diagnostics.
  • Plan, document, and implement product tests and verifications.
  • Perform test engineering services for diagnosing software and/or emulation hardware functional failures to identify root causes and actions for repair.
  • Assist with updating development of software programming for products based on testing.
  • Ensure the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and mechanisms.
  • Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating system environments is required.
  • Good working knowledge and experience with IC physical design, layout, and verification tools; and IC manufacturing process flows.
  • Knowledge of shell scripting and interpreted software languages (preferred Python) is required.
  • Basic skills with moderate level of proficiency.
