About The Position

Summary/Objective To demonstrate genuine hospitality and deliver exceptional customer service in Atlantic Beer & Oyster (A.B.O.), by consistently mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications for guests at the bar and in the dining area.

  • Must have a good command of the English language, both oral and written.
  • Must be attentive.
  • Must report to work when scheduled and on time with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete knowledge of ABO beverage preparation, menu, and specials.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of ABO food preparation procedures and menu items
  • Take orders for alcoholic (age 21 and over) and non-alcoholic beverages and food items.
  • Prepare orders for alcoholic (age 21 and over) and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Food preparation duties to include shucking oysters
  • Able to use a computer to ring orders into a POS
  • Refill drinks as requested by customers.
  • Able to accept different types of payment and make change.
  • Able to interact with customers, management, and co-workers in a friendly/fast manner
  • Check identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages. Refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age and notify manager
  • Helping customers be aware of and choose menu items, suggestively sell food and beverage items, taking orders, and making customers feel taken care of during their visit
  • Keeping the bar stocked (beer, wine, and liquor) and clean while always providing friendly and attentive service
  • Maintain a clean workstation
  • Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
  • Maintain adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as directed by management.
  • Report to required meetings.
