ATI Heavy Maintenance Materials Specialist II

About The Position

JOB FUNCTIONS: Reviewing heavy maintenance requisitions for accuracy and reconcile Heavy Maintenance provider’s requirements to ATI’s computer data base entered requisitions and make corrections accordingly. Determine best course of action to support the material request, ie: move from stock, purchase, send for quick turn repair, etc. Obtain further information to make best course decisions for items that do not lend themselves to simple solutions, ie: review IPCs for other possible solutions for the requests, request information for possible component repair and return to aircraft. Process and make arrangement to have materials move from stock to the aircraft Process and then purchase / procure from ATI approved supply vendors material required for the aircraft, to include supporting the material sourcing initiatives by the company. Monitor and expedite when needed the movement of material to the aircraft. Remove material flow obstacles such as customs delays, payment requirements, inspection delays and issues, etc. Attend pre dock meetings and prepare for future aircraft arrivals to heavy maintenance to include pre-draw requirements. Ensure that component removals cores are accounted for and turned in up to the point of being able to have repair orders issued. Issue repair orders and process accordingly for core removals up to including ensuring the component ships to the approved repair vendor. Support accounts payable and supply vendors with information and / or actions so that the payment process can be completed. Support the Materials Accounting Analyst with data for the purpose of issuing invoices to third parties. As an ongoing project support and advise what material should routinely be in stock in advance of heavy check to increase in stock pull rate for requested material. Coordinate routine trucking requirements as necessary. All other duties as assigned by ATI management.

Requirements

  • Travel to heavy maintenance locations for extended periods to provide onsite materials support.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to work in all climates and weather conditions should the need arise.
  • Must possess a current / valid State Drivers License.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid US passport.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with customers and co-workers; stand, bend, and reach in order to maintain files; sit for extended periods of time; and comply with ATI attendance requirements.
  • Must have computer skills in word, excel and the ability to learn new programs as they change within the company.
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends and holidays if the need arises.

Nice To Haves
