Athletics Video Producer (Temporary)

About The Position

Job Summary: The Northeastern Athletics Video Office is seeking a video professional to assist in all production efforts related to Northeastern University Athletics. The video team is responsible for broadcasting live sporting events on and off campus, as well as creating creative content for social media and in-arena digital displays. The video staff works closely with the communications and marketing departments to enhance the Northeastern Athletics brand and positively impact the Husky student-athlete experience. This position is intended as an internship (not designed for school credit) and will average 40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Experience filming live sports and editing video (Adobe Premiere preferred)
  • Strong sports knowledge and passion for compelling storytelling
  • Positive attitude and ability to receive feedback openly
  • Ability to lead a team and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and occasional 12+ hour days

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Adobe After Effects/Photoshop, Newtek Tricaster, 3Play
  • Experience using Sony mirrorless/cinematic cameras
  • Background in video or communications at an NCAA school or sports organization
  • Experience directing/producing live shows or working in a production truck
  • Experience with lighting and audio recording in various environments
  • Passion for staying current with industry trends in video production and social media
  • Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Execute live multi-camera sports broadcasts and in-house videoboard production
  • Serve all roles of a gameday production staff, including Director, Producer, Technical Director, Camera, Graphics, and Replay Operator
  • Lead a team of 4–12 students and freelance production assistants on gamedays
  • Plan, shoot, and edit creative content for social media and digital platforms
  • Collaborate with communications and marketing departments to support athletics brand
  • Work closely with Division-1 student athletes, coaches and teams
  • Travel to select events as a creative shooter and editor, including road games and conference championships
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
