The Athletics Graphic Designer conceptualizes, plans, and executes digital and/or print design to support the strategic objectives of the institution, creating on-brand, compelling visual assets to inform, educate, inspire, and/or persuade. This role involves collaborating with other creative professionals, managing project workflow, maintaining files, and adhering to established processes. The designer will create, design, and produce artwork per project specifications across various mediums, provide information and problem resolution to clients, and identify cost-effective options. They will also schedule logistics, secure resources, organize, and monitor art production projects to meet timelines. Specific to this position, the designer will promote the athletic program's philosophy and objectives, ensuring adherence to all departmental policies, university rules, governing sport conference(s), and NCAA regulations. They will design and produce high-quality graphics and creative media for the athletic department to advance its brand and creative strategies, support content management for social media accounts, assist in developing creative concepts and integrated campaigns, and ensure alignment with brand standards. The role also includes assisting with photography, videography, and digital needs as part of the Athletics Communication team, organizing digital asset libraries, and ensuring all content complies with NCAA, conference, and institutional guidelines. Additional departmental support and assigned tasks from the Director of Athletics are also part of the role, along with completing required trainings and professional development.
