About The Position

The Athletics Clerical Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the administrative functions of the department within Keller ISD. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • Three years of successful secretarial or related experience required.
  • Experience in a public education environment preferred.
  • Proficient in keyboarding, data entry, word processing, and file maintenance.
  • Ability to use software for spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math skills and knowledge of basic accounting principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in public education environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to the department Director.
  • Handle routine inquiries to ensure a high level of service and knowledgeable support for employees and supervisors.
  • Make meeting arrangements for department activities, including preparing materials and scheduling facilities.
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks and help plan events such as banquets and award ceremonies.
  • Prepare items for board meetings and manage incoming mail and documents.
  • Maintain inventories of supplies and order office supplies as needed.
  • Work on special assignments, projects, and programs as directed.
  • Perform routine bookkeeping tasks and maintain department budget records.
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of purchase orders and payment authorizations.
  • Support financial data reporting and forecasting related to department expenditures.
  • Prepare travel arrangements and process expense receipts for reimbursement.
  • Review and verify accuracy of journal entries and accounting methods.
  • Compile data for various required state and local reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality and develop systems for information retrieval.
  • Pursue professional development activities aligned with District goals.
  • Comply with all policies, operating procedures, and legal requirements.
