The position provides athletic training services to an assigned secondary school, which includes on-the-field evaluation, first aid, and reconditioning/rehabilitation under the supervision of the Team Physician. The role requires maintaining accurate records of all athletic episodes, including a patient tracking and injury-tracking registry. Responsibilities also include the development of the high school training room, ordering medical supplies and appropriate equipment, and providing both in-season and out-of-season conditioning programs for injury prevention. The individual will develop a student training program and act as a liaison and facilitator for referring athletes to ARMC, as well as between athletes, parents, coaches, and ARMC. During the off-season of the high school program, the individual will perform designated duties in the clinic and facilitate referrals to ACMC or other healthcare organizations as needed.

  • Provide athletic training services including evaluation, first aid, and rehabilitation under supervision.
  • Maintain accurate records of athletic episodes and injury tracking.
  • Develop and manage the high school training room and order medical supplies.
  • Provide conditioning programs for injury prevention during in-season and out-of-season.
  • Develop student training programs.
  • Act as a liaison for referring athletes to ARMC and between athletes, parents, coaches, and ARMC.
  • Perform designated duties in the clinic during the off-season.
  • Facilitate referrals to ACMC and other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Graduate of a baccalaureate program in athletic training, health, physical education, or exercise science.
  • One year in a clinical setting and/or 3-5 years of athletic training experience, preferably in health care.
  • Current licensure through OT/PT/ATC board for practice of athletic training in Ohio.
  • Certification as an Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers Association.
  • Teaching certification from the State of Ohio.
  • Ability to function in nontraditional settings.
