About The Position

SUMMARY: The New England Revolution are seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer for a part-time position. The selected candidate will take an active role in providing support in all phases of the sports medicine and performance program covering the Academy, MLS Next Pro, and First Team. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform as a Certified Athletic Trainer in managing the health care of athletes including but not limited to first aid/emergency care, on-site injury evaluation, application of appropriate modalities, assisting in rehabilitation and prevention programs, pre- and post-training treatments, and taping athletes. Maintain a complete and up to date roster of player health and participation records in the league provided electronic medical records (EMR) system. Assist in providing athletic training coverage of New England Revolution, New England Revolution II, and New England Revolution Academy practices/games. Maintain medical supplies inventory Assist in packing medical bags for team away trips Keep the athletic training room clean, organized, and safe. Comply with all New England Revolution and league medical policies and protocols including OSHA’s standards with regards to blood borne pathogens. Special projects and assignments as business dictates

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Athletic Training curriculum from a CAATE accredited school
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills including the ability to multi-task
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Organized and highly attentive to detail
  • Must be punctual and accountable every day
  • Must be trustworthy, have a positive attitude, and demonstrate an ability to work well in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn from a wide variety of medical professionals
  • Demonstrate ability to relate effectively with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work a varying schedule which may include nights, weekends, and Holidays to support the club.
  • NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer
  • In good standing with BOC and a member of the NATA.
  • Massachusetts ATC State License or eligible for license required.
  • Current professional CPR/AED certification.
  • Possess personal professional liability insurance.
  • Valid driver’s license / reliable transportation required

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Spanish and coverage of soccer is preferred
