About The Position

Athletic trainers are responsible for prevention, evaluation, and treatment of athletic injuries. They also work with team physicians to provide appropriate treatment and rehabilitation for athletes who are recovering from injuries as well as implement/monitor return to play protocols. Other duties may include education of coaches, athletes, and parents, ordering equipment and supplies, and maintaining accurate and up to date records on all injuries. Coordinate and organizes the daily Athletic Trainer functions with the Athletic Director and coaches at the School District. They will need to timely complete all reporting requirements for the School district and Conway Regional Hospital.They will serve as an ambassador for Conway Regional Health System, embodying the values of both organizations to the School District. They are expected to meet the school’s professional, clinical, technical, communication, and documentation requirements and standards and to make decisions based on established National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) guidelines. SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION: This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • BOC Certification
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Current CPR/AED for HealthCare Provider Certification
