Windward School is looking for an Athletic Trainer to join the Athletic Medicine Team, which works to care for scholar- athletes and the Windward community throughout the School day and during the evenings. The Athletic Trainer serves as the first responder by preventing, recognizing and evaluating injuries, subsequently developing treatment and rehabilitation programs, incorporating the appropriate therapeutic modalities with rehabilitation exercises, and initiating emergency action care protocols. The Athletic Trainer must coordinate and act as liaison with physicians, students, athletes, coaching staff, parents, and other allied health professionals on the status of and treatment for injuries. Athletic Trainers also work to counsel students, athletes, and staff regarding proper conditioning, athletic training, and injury rehabilitation.
