Our practice is located at the convenient location of 100 Cummings Center in Beverly, MA! We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Athletic Trainer to support our practice onsite Monday through Friday. Our practice is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Mass General Brigham Sports Medicine specialists are world-class, nationally recognized leaders in treating the full spectrum of sports-related injuries and orthopedic conditions, from common sports injuries to the most complex. Based on the most innovative research, our team of experts uses the latest technology to care for athletes and non-athlete patients of all ages. We offer a range of services from sports conditioning, physical therapy and injury prevention to surgical and non-surgical treatments. Job Summary Provide services to student athletes under the direction of the program or department head or designee in accordance with state athletic training practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Kinesiology required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required or Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred
  • Athletic Trainer [State License] - required
  • Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License] - preferred
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - preferred
  • Certified Athletic Trainer [ATC] - National Athletic Trainers' Association preferred
  • experience working as an athletic trainer 0-1 year preferred
  • Provide Excellent Athletic Training and Student Mentoring.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Current Massachusetts driver’s license, a safe driving record, and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize patient charts in advance of scheduled visits
  • Triage presenting patients and accurately elicit and document chief complaints
  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with in-office procedures
  • Administer shockwave therapy in accordance with established clinical protocols (if applicable)
  • Perform phlebotomy in accordance with scope of practice and regulatory guidelines
  • Prepare materials and equipment for platelet-rich plasma (PRP) procedures
  • Draw up and prepare medications for procedures following clinical standards and safety protocols
  • Set up and calibrate diagnostic ultrasound equipment for clinical use
  • Fit and educate patients on braces and durable medical equipment (DME)
  • Conduct telephone triage and respond to patient clinical inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Cares for athletic injuries.
  • Design and implement injury rehabilitation programs
  • Formulates assessments and executes plans of action that best aid/fit student–athletes’ health needs and determines student athletes safe return to sport participation.
  • Provide athletic training coverage for all home/hosted contests as described by the CCCAA bylaws.
  • Administer Emergency Care and First Aid
  • Creates and regularly updates an injury report.
  • Ensures proper equipment use and fitting such as helmets, shoulder pads, braces, mouthpieces. The use of tape or wraps.
