About The Position

The Anderson Clinic is currently seeking a certified Athletic Trainer to work with busy Primary Care Sports Medicine physician. Experience preferred, especially with casting, bracing, drawing injections, prepping for ultrasound, etc. This position requires excellent communication and customer service skills. Must have own transportation and may be required to rotate between five different offices in Northern Virginia. Vast majority of time will be spent interacting with patients and physician.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Current certification
• Valid Virginia state licensure, or eligible
• Excellent customer service skills and patient-centered care focus
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Initial patient assessment and evaluation, including vitals and detailed patient history
• Presentation of findings to physician
• Scheduling additional test, procedures or appointments
• Patient education including pre- and post-procedure instructions
• Brace fitting, casting and splinting
• Respond to patient needs and concerns based on the diagnosis and treatment plan provided.
• Provide and explain patient education materials and other documentation in a manner that is understandable to the patient.
• Demonstrate the ability to safely apply and remove casts and splints for upper and lower extremities.
