The position involves providing athletic training services to an assigned secondary school, which includes on-the-field evaluation, first aid, and reconditioning/rehabilitation under the supervision of the Team Physician. The role requires maintaining accurate records of all athletic episodes, including a patient tracking and injury-tracking registry. Responsibilities also include the development of the high school training room, ordering medical supplies and appropriate equipment, and providing both in-season and out-of-season conditioning programs for injury prevention. The athletic trainer will develop a student training program and act as a liaison and facilitator for referring athletes to ACMC, as well as between athletes, parents, coaches, and ACMC. During the off-season of the high school program, the trainer will perform designated duties in the clinic and continue to function as a liaison for referring athletes to ACMC or other healthcare organizations as needed.
