About The Position

The Student Athletic Trainer will provide Athletic Training Services to student athletes under the direction of their designated preceptor(s) in accordance with state athletic training practices.   Position Responsibilities Observe and support athletic training coverage for IMG Academy designated sport program, summer camps, external groups and other sports as needed Co-Manage the prevention, assessment, immediate care, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries of student athletes Support documentation policies athletic medical records through the Athlete Management System (AMS) Evaluate athletes' readiness and willingness to play Learn communication skills the status of injured athletes to coaches, parents, APD staff (Strength & Conditioning, Sport Science, Nutrition, Mental Conditioning, Leadership) and other stakeholders when warranted Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists and other appropriate disciplines to return athletes safely to participation Collaborate with other APD divisions in an interdisciplinary pod with staff members who work in the same sport(s) Familiarize and Implement IMG performance testing protocols Act as a role model through words, actions and a positive attitude Supervise and maintain day-to-day upkeep of facilities Follow all HIPAA and OSHA regulations and guidelines Assist with organizational tasks as necessary Promote a diverse and inclusive environment Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes Complete other duties as assigned by the Preceptors or Medical Director Assist with athletic training covering multiple sports with athletes ranging from 13-19 years old. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Perusing Master’s Degree in Athletic Training in a CAATE Accredited program
  • Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
  • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
  • Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required

Responsibilities
