The Athletic Trainer II is responsible for the prevention, assessment, immediate management, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athlete injuries and conditions as defined by the State of Florida practice act as well as NCAA, Baptist Health Care, and Andrews Institute Sports Medicine Outreach guidelines and standards. This position provides quality healthcare services to assigned sports, teams, and/or coverage sites in accordance with sports medicine agreements, including travelling with teams as required. This position acts as an ambassador for Baptist Health Care, Andrews Institute, and the sports medicine department, facilitating access and availability for all health care services. The AT plays an integral role in educating appropriate personnel (i.e., coaches, athletic directors, administrators, officials, etc.) on emergency preparedness, injury prevention, and best practices for the health, care, and well-being of student-athletes, spectators, and staff.
