UPMC Sports Medicine is one of the nation’s largest employers of athletic trainers with approximately 200 staff members. We have several exciting opportunities working in the outreach setting. More than 90 pro, college, and high school organizations in Western and Central Pennsylvania turn to us for athletic training services. This is a full-time Floater position to cover vacancies, time off requests, leaves of absences, and special events. As a staff member in our program, you will be part of a team led by world-renowned sports medicine experts that work in state-of-the-art facilities. We have comprehensive physician, imaging, physical therapy, concussion, nutrition, and sports performance services that serve as resources to you. The floater position offers opportunities beyond basic skills including but not limited to: Exposure to Diverse Settings – Working in multiple locations allows for experience with different teams, sports, and injuries, leading to a broader skill set. Networking Opportunities – You’ll engage with more coaches, athletes, and healthcare professionals. Skill Development – Adapting to different environments strengthens problem-solving skills and enhances clinical decision-making. Less Routine, More Variety – Some find the change of scenery refreshing and a way to prevent workplace fatigue or burnout. SIGN-ON BONUS Available!
