RESPONSIBILITIES: The Athletic Trainer Fellow joins a staff of three full-time certified athletic trainers within the athletic department and has an opportunity to work with a wide variety of teams spanning approximately thirty different sports over three sports seasons. The Athletic Trainer will work under supervision until obtaining BOC certification and Indiana Licensure. This role involves the prevention, recognition, assessment, management, treatment, disposition, and rehabilitation/reconditioning of injuries. The position begins in June with support coverage for Culver Summer Schools and Camps then transitions to the academic school year starting in August and concluding at graduation. The Fellow will have additional, varied day-to-day duties depending on the assignment in teaching, sports administration or the health center. The Athletic Training Fellowship is a unique experience that can be tailored to one’s individual professional and personal goals. Athletic Fellows earn a salary of $31,000. In addition, Fellows live in furnished dormitory apartments and assume duties that allow them to become an integral part of the residential community. Several "extras" are included in the total compensation package: Furnished, rent-free/utility-free apartment. Free use of individual laptop computer. Dry cleaning service is provided.
