About The Position

Assist with diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of pediatric and adolescent sports injuries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Athletic Trainers Certification (ATC) - National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA)
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • Basic Life Support - American Red Cross
  • No specific work experience is required for this position.
  • Athletic Trainers Certification (ATC) from the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).
  • Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree
  • Clinical (2 Years)
  • Minimum of two years of experience (clinical experience encouraged).
  • Eligible for Missouri State Registration.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes Pediatric Sports Medicine practice.
  • Develops relationships with high school athletic trainers in St. Louis region, including participation in high school sporting coverage.
  • Assists in coordinating outreach and education programs on pediatric and adolescent sports injuries including prevention programs.
  • Develops teaching materials to support patients and their families with sports injuries.
  • Assists Pediatric Sports Physician in the Operating Room.
  • Assists in all aspects of the clinical care of pediatric and adolescent athletes – including diagnosis, preoperative education, surgery, postoperative follow-up and rehabilitation.
