Location: Fishers Orthopedics and Sports Medicine/Methodist Medical Plaza North (Carmel) Shift/Position: M-F 8am-4:30pm; Travel 1-2x per week to support providers at Carmel clinic is required. No weekends, holidays, or on-call. Roles and Responsibilities: Works with provider(s) in an outpatient clinic under the supervision of the clinic/practice manager and provider(s). Performs duties associated with direct patient care in accordance with the organization standards. Assists the providers with in-office procedures, treatments, casting, patient education, and assuring efficient patient flow. Patient education will range from explaining next steps in the treatment plan, to educating patients through a home exercise program or bracing. May perform computerized provider order entry per provider. Participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve set outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency. May perform duties associated with symptom-management, direct in-clinic patient care, telehealth patient care, quality improvement activities, and other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • Requires a Master's Degree from an accredited academic program in athletic training or a Bachelor's Degree in athletic training prior to 2023.
  • Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Indiana State Athletic Training Licensure or eligible is required.
  • Must be a Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer.
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross Professional Rescuer is required.
