About The Position

The Santa Ana Unified School District is seeking applicants for a coaching position. Candidates must possess knowledge of the sport they wish to coach and must be able to pass all required district background checks. Before being hired, applicants must complete several clearance documents, including CPR/First Aid, Concussion Training, Heat Illness Prevention, Sudden Cardiac Arrest training, and NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching. Employment in this position is subject to the terms and conditions set by the Santa Ana Unified School District and will be reviewed at the conclusion of each season, with the possibility of renewal on an annual basis.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the sport being coached
• Ability to pass all required district background checks
• Completion of CPR/First Aid certification
• Completion of Concussion Training
• Completion of Heat Illness Prevention training
• Completion of Sudden Cardiac Arrest training
• Completion of NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching

Responsibilities

• Coach the assigned sport
• Ensure safety and well-being of student-athletes
• Conduct practices and training sessions
• Develop game strategies and tactics
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration
