About The Position

The Athletics Program Supervisor is responsible for the planning, coordination, and oversight of youth and adult sports leagues, athletic programs, and facility operations for the City of Greenville. This position supervises staff, manages athletic facilities and events, and ensures high-quality recreational experiences through strategic planning, effective communication, and community engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Parks and Recreation, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in parks and recreation, programming, or facility management.
• CPR, First Aid, and other relevant certifications, or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and supervises athletic programs, leagues, clinics, and tournaments.
• Recruits, hires, trains, evaluates, and disciplines athletic staff.
• Oversees athletic facility scheduling, maintenance coordination, and reservation management.
• Promotes athletic programs through marketing and community outreach efforts.
• Responds to public inquiries, concerns, and compliments with professionalism and care.
• Maintains program and facility records; analyzes operations and recommends improvements.
• Coordinates with schools, community partners, and sponsors to expand programming.
• Prepares and monitors budgets, purchases, and revenue projections.
• Investigates incidents or accidents and prepares accurate reports with follow-up actions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
