Requirements
- Prior groundskeeping or field maintenance experience is preferred, as is a valid driver’s license.
- Successful candidates demonstrate a willingness to learn, a commitment to high-quality work, clear communication skills, and a team-first mindset.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain and restore grounds within the assigned field as directed, including any and all activities or tasks fundamental to baseball/softball field care.
- Monitor, report, and resolve irrigation issues, problems and/or concerns on assigned field or complex.
- Operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, sprayers and sod cutters.
- Report/address field issues such as turf stress, disease, wear areas, etc.
- Work with other grounds staff as directed and perform other duties as assigned
- Prepare, maintain, and restore all baseball/softball clay areas including infield skins, mounds, home plate and warning track, and perform other tasks fundamental to athletic turf care
- Monitor, report and resolve field issues such as turf stress, disease, irrigation problems and pest management issues
- Perform preventative maintenance operations on various pieces of equipment
- Assist with tarp handling and inclement weather situations when customer deems necessary
