About The Position

The Athletic Facilities/Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the management of athletic facilities and competition surfaces at Indiana State University. This position involves scheduling, maintenance, and event setup, ensuring that all athletic venues are prepared for practices and competitions. The manager will also coordinate with various stakeholders to facilitate events and maintain compliance with NCAA and conference requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (4 years)
• 2+ years of experience in facility management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the maintenance and repair of all athletic facilities/venues.
• Helps maintain athletic fields, both grass and turf, including daily preparation for practices and games.
• Performs grass management tasks such as mowing, trimming, blowing, aerating, overseeding, top dressing, and line/logo painting.
• Assists with event management for home athletic events, including setup, cleanup, and teardown.
• Coordinates and communicates with special events and outside renters, preparing rental agreements and ensuring insurance requirements are met.
• Manages NCAA requirements related to technology, equipment, and competition surfaces.
• Coordinates and communicates with the Missouri Valley Conference regarding home contests, television requirements, and conference championships.
