The position involves monitoring and maintaining communication with school administration, the Athletic Department, community, staff, and athletes regarding expectations of conduct and performance in high school and middle school athletic programs. The role includes conducting conferences with parents, students, principals, and teachers as needed. The individual will monitor and enforce University Interscholastic League policies and procedures, Dallas ISD Athletic Department policies, and student discipline during athletic contests and practice sessions. Additionally, the position requires ensuring that all campus coaches fulfill their responsibilities, dress appropriately, and attend necessary in-services or clinics for the growth of their athletic programs. The individual will create and maintain a positive work environment by supervising the use of facilities, resources, and staff, and will assure compliance with UIL eligibility requirements and other necessary documentation for student-athletes. The role also involves promoting the culture and climate of the football program and evaluating the progress of all campus athletic programs. The head football coach will develop and sustain a successful football program by demonstrating effective coaching and leadership towards the social-emotional development of all student-athletes.
