About The Position

The Athletic Assistant is responsible for the direct supervision and administrative duties of the Texas A&M University’s Aggie Dance Team. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General knowledge of NCAA rules.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Nice To Haves

  • High school coaching experience.
  • Collegiate coaching experience.
  • Professional dance experience.
  • Choreography experience.

Responsibilities

  • Direct administrative duties of the Texas A&M University’s Aggie Dance Team.
  • Direct and organize fund raising activities
  • Supervise out of town team travel to post season basketball tournaments for SEC and NCAA competitions.
  • Supervise team try-outs and team selection process.
  • Attend morning/weekend practices, workouts and dance team performances at home athletic contests.
  • Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations.
  • Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations for all staff members and student workers supervised.
