About The Position

Alluvionic is seeking an Astronaut Rescue and Emergency Medical Care Specialist to support the 1st Air Force at Patrick Space Force Base, FL. This full-time role involves providing operational and tactical inputs for astronaut rescue and emergency medical care during contingency land or water landings, serving as a liaison between various space and military programs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a Pararescue Specialist.
• Expert level knowledge with rescue tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Previously served as a Major Command, Wing, Group, or Unit as a Rescue Planner.
• Ability to provide guidance regarding world-wide deployment of rescue personnel.
• Ability to work independently to plan and complete assignments on time.

Nice To Haves

• 10+ years of experience as a Combat Rescue Officer.
• Previous experience in Personnel Recovery or Rescue planning.
• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and tactical level inputs for astronaut rescue and emergency medical care following Orion or CCP contingency land or water landings.
• Recover astronauts and the crew module at Orion nominal end-of-mission and rescue Orion astronauts in post-splashdown contingencies.
• Ensure interagency crossflow of appropriate rescue information between NASA Programs and DoD.
• Develop plans for rescue and medical evacuation following contingency land or water landings.
• Prepare and present briefings, papers, and presentations to senior leaders in military and interagency organizations.
• Conceptualize, develop, and present mission-specific training or orientation courses for military personnel.
