About The Position

Michigan State University’s School of Criminal Justice has openings for up to 5 part time fixed term instructors to teach one to two courses per year. Searching for candidates with expertise or experience teaching in criminal procedure, criminology, policing, courts, corrections, cyber-security, and private security. Duties include teaching on campus to undergraduate students during the year. Salary and terms are negotiable based on experience. Requirements

  • The positions require a master’s degree for the rank of Instructor and a bachelor's degree for the rank of Assistant Instructor from an accredited university.
  • Candidates must have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence and/or significant work experience in areas related to teaching assignment (e.g., policing, courts, corrections, private security, or cyber-security).
  • Candidates must have the ability to teach at the undergraduate level.
  • Applicants will be required to submit a Resume and Cover Letter.
