Student Affairs at Westminster University is committed to building an equitable, inclusive, and safe campus community. Newly organized, Student Affairs has reimagined student challenge and support to all students as they embark on the journey of personal identity development, values clarification, commitment to wellness, and a passionate direction in life. Student Engagement and Belonging (SEB) is a department within the division of Student Affairs consisting of a Director and three Assistant Directors. SEB foregrounds belonging as foundational elements of a vibrant campus life and student experience. Tasked with promoting student engagement, development of culture competence, and civil discourse, SEB is responsible for various work areas including cultural and heritage programming, programming to support first generation student success, and student-led programming. Reporting directly to the Director of Student Engagement and Belonging, this Assistant Director is responsible for providing leadership, coordination, and advising within the department work areas, with a specific focus on first-generation programming and support. The Assistant Director supports student success by coordinating and executing a student engagement model specifically for the First Scholars program and student government (ASW).
