About The Position

We are seeking an Assurance Associate who will assist in planning and preparing audit workpapers, performing financial analysis, identifying client issues, and offering value-added recommendations. This role offers strong opportunities for technical growth, hands-on client interaction, and advancement within the assurance practice.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Two to five years of public accounting experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of basic accounting procedures and GAAP.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multitask.
Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

CPA license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare for audits, including trial balance and lead sheet setup, creating schedules, analyzing spreadsheets, and verifying accuracy of client accounting records.
Maintain financial updates and gain an understanding of client business operations.
Meet budget and realization goals and support staff in meeting theirs.
Identify client issues and clarify service responsibilities during engagements.
Participate in staff and intern recruiting activities.
Monitor professional developments and research technical accounting issues.
Identify and communicate problem areas and propose solutions to managers and partners.
Offer value-added suggestions during audits and reviews.
Meet assigned chargeable hour goals.
Participate in internal training as appropriate.
Work toward completing the CPA exam if not already achieved.
