About The Position

A typical day in the life of an Assurance Senior Associate may include leading client meetings to establish engagement timelines, objectives, and expectations. The role involves performing audit, review, or compilation procedures for clients, managing all engagement phases including workpaper, financial statement, and report preparation. The associate will analyze trial balances and prepare complex financial statements using audit software, Word, and Excel. Responsibilities also include reconciling accounting data with control accounts, conducting fraud interviews as needed, reviewing staff work, preparing high-risk audit sections, and drafting financial statements. Additionally, the associate will provide financial analysis post-fieldwork to improve client controls and procedures, collect and analyze client information to solve problems and meet deadlines, and coordinate various activities to meet client needs within a specified time frame. Training and delegating tasks to staff based on availability and experience, conducting fieldwork at client locations as necessary, networking, building relationships, and attracting new business to the Firm are also key aspects of the role. The associate will attend training seminars, professional development, and networking events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required).
  • 2-4 years of audit experience (required).
  • Valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or working towards obtaining CPA license (required).
  • Knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and using various software packages.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements (20% of time).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
