The BMC IT Assurance (ITA) intern position provides students the opportunity to apply coursework to a real-world environment. BMC interns will have exposure to a diverse group of personnel and experience the daily operations of one of the largest software companies in the Houston area. This role allows interns to gain an understanding of financial and IT processes across the company, assess Sarbanes-Oxley compliance by testing IT controls within financial and IT processes, and collaborate with Process Leads and Managers. Interns will learn to prepare work papers and document testing within the Assurance database, TeamMate+, and participate in an intern project to further both professional and personal development. Other work as needed within the Assurance department may include operational audit work and special projects/tasks.
