 Assurance Advisor (Financial Services Office) (Senior Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1691659), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, San Francisco, CA.

Develop and lead audit advisory services for clients. Plan audit procedures in accordance with U.S. GAAS, including PCAOB rules and regulations, for private and public company financial statements prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Lead auditing fieldwork, complete audit processes, and document high-risk areas. Help clients meet reporting requirements through applying SEC rules and regulations over financial reporting. Provide accounting insights, including insights into complex accounting issues such as revenue recognition, share-based compensation, business combinations and internal controls.  Lead and direct teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds by providing constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Manage risk in the delivery of quality client services. Generate and manage new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business or a related field, plus 8 years of experience (of which 5 years must be post-bachelor’s, progressive).
• Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business or a related field, plus 7 years of related work experience.
• Must have 5 years of experience in engagement management, engagement execution and reporting, and client relationship building while serving clients in one or a combination of the following industries: • Asset management industry, including mutual fund complexes, hedge funds, private equity funds, and/or other investment vehicles.  • Insurance industry and/or public company clients. • Banking/capital markets industry, including retail, commercial or investment banks, brokers/dealers, and/or similar institutions. • Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction (RHC) clients.
• Must have 5 years of experience in a combination involving all of the following: • Supervising the planning, execution, reporting on audits of financial statements prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAS and U.S. GAAP, and/or foreign equivalent (International Accounting Standards (IAS)); • Supervising audit teams consisting of two or more staff members; and • Recent audit experience working with a public company that is registered with PCAOB.
• Must have 5 years of experience in using audit documentation software.
• Must have 4 years of managerial experience training project teams in a professional services environment.
• Must have 2 years of experience identifying new business opportunities at existing or potentially new clients.
• Must have one of the following: - active US CPA certificate; or - foreign certificate in accountancy and sufficient coursework/experience requirements as determined by the work location state Board of Accountancy to obtain US CPA certification.
• Requires domestic travel up to 25% in order to serve client needs.
