About The Position

The Assistant Server at Angry Butcher is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests by receiving and serving food and beverage orders, maintaining cleanliness at the tables, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. This part-time role requires knowledge of menu items and the ability to assist the serving team effectively.

Requirements

• Six (6) months experience in a fine dining restaurant.
• Ability to lift, maneuver, and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to carry and serve beverages using a hand-held tray.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Receive and serve food and beverage orders from guests.
• Collect payment and make change for guest checks as needed.
• Demonstrate complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items and daily specials.
• Understand and meet sequence of service requirements for the Back Waiter/Food Specialist position.
• Provide initial greeting to guests along with the Front Waiter.
• Greet guests if the Front Server is occupied.
• Provide water service to the table and maintain beverages throughout the meal.
• Responsible for bread service to the table and memorizing the scripted presentation for it.
• Accurately answer all guest questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and cooking methods.
• Remove dirty ware throughout the meal and replace with clean ware as needed.
• Prepare the table for the delivery of the next course and maintain cleanliness during the meal.
• Provide coffee service to the table as required.
• Thank guests as they depart per scripted requirements.
• Clear and reset tables and maintain the floor throughout the assigned station.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
