About The Position

The Assistant Recreation Center Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the supervision of recreation and facility operations, including programming and coordination of activities. Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in recreation management or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Publisher.
  • Strong customer service focus and ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to plan and organize work and resources efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all financial aspects of the recreation and facility division, including revenue and expense budgets.
  • Work with the supervisor to ensure financial performance meets budget and follows policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the oversight of recreation and facility practices necessary for achieving strategic goals.
  • Help develop recreation, fitness, dance, and sports programs, including descriptions and schedules.
  • Support staffing-related issues, including selection, hiring, training, and mentoring of staff and volunteers.
  • Assist in managing contracts for group exercise, entertainment, and personal training.
  • Supervise program/activity staff, volunteer instructors, and contractors, including hiring and training.
  • Promote facilities, programs, and services to members and guests.
  • Manage leagues and recreation activities, ensuring safety and cleanliness of the facility.
  • Adhere to mandatory standards of operation and assist in delivering division services as required.
