About The Position

The Assistant Program Manager for Global Sales Reporting at General Motors is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the assigned sales organization. This role involves maintaining high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in sales planning and reporting efforts. The position requires creativity, initiative, and independent decision-making to manage daily operations, data integrity, and reporting schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or 4+ years equivalent experience in an operational business environment (2+ with degree).
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar tools for data visualization.
  • Data analytics experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of business process modeling, workflow analysis, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independent of day-to-day supervision.
  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint.

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, data modeling, and predictive analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Create daily/monthly/quarterly reports through both automated and manual processes.
  • Responsible for data integrity, reconciliation, specifications, data loading, and production of required publications.
  • Use MS Excel tools to convert received file formats into the system's required format.
  • Use PowerBI to generate reports.
  • Maintain/update databases attributes related to geography, vehicle models, and marketing group relationships.
  • Respond to requests for information.
  • Work with Product Managers, Operations Manager, and IT Development teams to resolve system/data/process issues.
  • Perform data reconciliations within the data loading activities, including researching data anomalies.
  • Maintain reporting schedules ensuring timely and accurate report creation and necessary approvals.
  • Ensure data and reports are maintained according to GM's retention policies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of current desk procedures and business processes, identifying improvements.
  • Develop, maintain, and support User Acceptance Tests for system enhancements and development projects.
  • Participate in special assignments as needed.
  • Process Access Requests.
  • Perform training for end users and IT Application Support.
