About The Position
The Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice position at Lane College is a full-time role within the Academic Affairs department, specifically in the BSBS program. The position is classified as exempt under FSLA and requires a Doctorate degree in Criminal Justice, although candidates with a Master's degree and 18 graduate hours in Criminal Justice may also be considered. The role involves developing student learning outcomes, creating course objectives, and implementing various instructional modes for traditional, hybrid, or online settings. The professor will be responsible for executing teaching strategies, monitoring and evaluating student progress, and maintaining accurate student records. Additionally, the professor will advise and mentor students, serve on various college committees, and participate in department, division, and college meetings. The teaching load is expected to be 4-5 classes (12-15 hours) each semester.
