Asst Produce Mgr
About The Position
Job Duties: Greet all customers in a friendly manner. Thank customers for their patronage. Places orders with vendors daily. Turn in invoice totals and credits daily to Store Manager. Maintain proper gross profit margins as set forth by company standards. Maintain clean, rotated, and full produce stands. Communicate all price changes to the Scan Coordinator or Front End Managers. Maintain proper retail pricing on product signs. (Set retail prices) Quality control of all produce department products. Control all credits with supplies. (Signed credit memos) Maintain proper product selection. (subject to availability) Maintain a clean, rotated organized backroom and cooler at all times. Maintain safe, swept, and clean floors in customer areas. (sweep sheets) Make sure sweep sheets are maintained every thirty minutes. Do weekly inventory and department sales/gross profit report. Supervise and train all produce department employees, including safety. Maintain dress code for all clerks. Make sure employees are present and on time. Assist and participate with Company marketing promotional events and programs as needed And all other assigned job duties. QualificationsEssential Job Duties: Lift boxes and product ranging between 20 lbs up to 60 lbs Place boxes/product onto dolly or cart Push/pull between 30 lbs up to 200 lbs (item on cart or dolly) Bend/Stoop pick up and or place product below waist level (including shelves and racks ) Place product onto bins and position for sale Grasp/Grip product to prepare for sale floor by either cutting or cleaning product Constant sweeping/pushing broom to pick up debris to keep work area clean Place and remove product from produce cooler (including shelving and produce bins) Reaching above shoulder level (produce placement on sale floor plus shelving/rack system in produce warehouse areas) Place debris/trash/recycle cardboard in respective areas Will clean and maintain produce tables and bins Climb ladders to retrieve or place product on top shelf/produce cooler Physical Requirements: Lift boxes and product ranging between 20 lbs up to 60 lbs Place boxes/product onto dolly or cart Push/pull between 30 lbs up to 200 lbs (items on cart/dolly) Bend/Stoop pick up and or place product below waist level (including shelves and racks)
