About The Position
Position Summary: Assists medical staff by rendering basic patient care to surgical patients. May identify and greet patient, escort patient to exam room, verify purpose of visit, take and record vital signs, observe, record and report patient condition. May operate or assist in operating various mechanical devices. Meets physical comfort of patient; reports emergencies and assists in administering emergency treatment. May transport patient via wheelchair or stretcher. Answer phones. Medical record assembled according to unit standard. Pathology tests are filed accurately (example\: lab).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Strong organizational skills
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or LPN license in the State of FL required
