About The Position

The Security Coordinator at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is responsible for overseeing security operations during events, ensuring the safety of guests, artists, and staff. This role involves coordinating with various departments to meet contractual obligations and maintain high standards of customer service. The Security Coordinator will manage a team of security personnel, develop event-specific security plans, and handle all security-related issues that arise during events.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of job-related security experience in a high volume casino/hotel complex or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive guest experience.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and understand company policies and procedures.
  • Basic mathematical skills for position responsibilities.
  • Ability to apply sound judgment in various situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in law enforcement may substitute for security experience.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices in security management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all activities with events at the facility, including planning, organizing, and security of events.
  • Meet with Security Managers of featured artists to provide information and guidance for security measures.
  • Oversee the distribution of credentials and passes for events.
  • Coordinate the number and positioning of all Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
  • Determine placement and monitor all electronic video devices.
  • Monitor the fire alarm system and establish an emergency evacuation plan.
  • Provide security for all vendors and manage the transportation of money from merchandise sales.
  • Hire and train new employees on security protocols and procedures.
  • Coordinate scheduling for security staff and develop event-specific security plans.
  • Escort featured artists to and from events while maintaining security.
  • Process, approve, and deliver payroll for security staff.
  • Coordinate with Seminole Police regarding the number of officers needed for each event.
  • Handle the distribution of money for concession stands and coordinate security details for various events.
  • Write reports and document all incidents at Hard Rock Live.
  • Supervise approximately 70 employees and handle all security issues during events.
