About The Position

Our team is growing and we are seeking an experienced Pipeline Operator with Pigging experience to join our team! The role of the Assistant Manager is to work directly with the Sr. Manager and Pipeline Maintenance Technicians to maintain the pipeline infrastructure of our clients through Launching and Receiving pipeline pigs, maintenance of gearboxes and valves, pulling liquids from lines and trays, and following the schedules for work. The Assistant Manager is a hands-on position with daily field operational responsibility, schedule management, SAP data integration and notifications and personnel management. The Assistant Manager must maintain good communication with contractors, coworkers, management, through phone calls, text messages, and emails, and thoroughly document all work items listed through the entire Pipeline Maintenance program. The position is also responsible for assisting with onboarding and training of new staff, benchmarking the operational efficiency of the division and working in collaboration with the Sr. Manager to develop additional guidelines to improve the already existing operational excellence of the division. The position will also assist in the capture of equipment in need of repair, modification, or expansion of pipeline infrastructure assets to comply with industry standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in pipeline and pigging operations within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven track record of successful pigging operations, including cleaning, inspection, and maintenance.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Advanced understanding of pipeline systems, pigging tools, and equipment.
  • Experience using pigging tracking and monitoring software.
  • Ability to work in outdoor and potentially hazardous environments.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces when necessary.
  • Relevant safety training (e.g., H2S, First Aid, Confined Space Entry, etc.) is highly desirable.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications or training in pipeline operations, safety, or mechanical maintenance.
