Reporting to the Director of Development, Sibley Memorial Hospital Foundation, this position is a key member of the fundraising team executing on identification, cultivation and solicitation of individual annual, major and planned gifts; and prospect research. Undertakes special projects as assigned, such as individual gift proposals, donor prospect research, planned giving marketing, and event logistics. These special projects will involve execution of fundraising strategies, such as facilitating donor visits and tours of the hospital, as well as visits with patients. Manage and execute a mid-level giving program, personally identify and steward donors and prospects who have capacity to make a higher-level gift, working with the major gifts team to cultivate them for the next level of giving. Be the staff lead for the direct marketing program (mail and email), managing the budget, deadlines and content. Develop and oversee analysis of the program. Set annual fundraising goal and calendar working collaboratively with the Johns Hopkins Medicine's Office of Medical Annual Giving. Develop a plan to identify and qualify new prospects, make discovery calls and build a pipeline for annual and/or major gifts. This includes individuals that have been referred by faculty, respond to direct mail, have been identified by the research team, or the Office of Annual Medical Giving (OMAG). Manage and maintain a personal portfolio of prospects with a focus on annual and planned giving, engaging and moving them along the prospect readiness continuum as appropriate, whether via discovery, cultivation, solicitation or stewardship through written and verbal communication and personal donor visits. Serve as the point of contact for Johns Hopkins University Office of Planned Giving to execute marketing plan and stewardship/cultivation events for planned giving donors and prospects. Manage the Sibley Legacy Society including executing on society benefits and recognition, including planning planned giving events. In collaboration with the Director of Development, implement a work plan with appropriate goals. Annual metrics to be determined including face to face visits and proposal submission goals. Research, identify, qualify and evaluate potential major gift contributors through examination of past records, individual and corporate contacts, and knowledge of communities. Manage tours, luncheons, and prospect visits with internal and external stakeholders as needed. Maintains current knowledge of best practices. Other duties as assigned.
