About The Position

Hickory Trail Hospital, an 86-bed behavioral health facility located just south of Dallas, has been providing quality health care to the residents of DFW since 1988. Hickory Trail Hospital provides inpatient and day treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. Our professional staff individualizes care to uniquely fit the intensity and severity of each client's case and their family's needs. Because crisis occurs at all times of the day and night, our services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are also a proud supporter of the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention. The Assistant Director is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the quality of Clinical Services to meet the goals of Hickory Trail Hospital. In addition, provides direct care to psychiatric, competency restoration, and substance abuse conditions. Responsible for collaborating with the patient's family, multidisciplinary team, and community agencies to support and coordinate treatment and discharge planning. Oversees the social work and counselor student experience. Leads the clinical services and staff in the inpatient program.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree specializing in Counseling, Social work, or a clinical related mental health area.
  • Current LPC, LMSW, LMFT license issued by the State of Texas.
  • Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.
  • CPR certification and Management of Aggressive Behavior training within 90 days of employment.
  • Thorough knowledge of JCAHO/HCFA, OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Current license as an LPC or LCSW by the State of Texas.
  • Three years of clinical experience as a licensed professional in an inpatient psychiatric social service setting, to include one year of supervisory experience.
