About The Position

Valley Hospital Phoenix is seeking a dynamic and talented Assistant Director for Intake to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. Under the direction of the Director of Intake, the Assistant Director of Intake provides direction for the Intake Admissions Department in the assigned area(s) in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the Hospital and within the framework of established policies and procedures of the Department of Intake and Admissions. Valley Hospital is a 122-bed psychiatric hospital located in Phoenix, Arizona, providing patient-centered care delivered by compassionate staff trained in the mental health and chemical dependency fields.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in behavioral health field or RN.
• 2 years of hospital experience.
• Thorough working knowledge of Hospital, Intake/Admissions policies/procedures, with demonstrated ability to use skills in clinical and managerial situations.
• Management/leadership experience of a multiple disciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably experience working in an Intake/Admissions department in a Psychiatric hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the clinical leadership and coordination of patient flow and staff productivity in the Intake and Admissions department.
• Promotes a climate of effective performance through role modeling, willingness to learn and teach, and availability to patients and staff.
• Organize, manage and coordinate nursing services and assure quality.
