About The Position

Under the supervision of the Principal Administrative Clerk, the Assistant Clerk will provide scheduling and calendar assistance to the justices and clerks of the Superior Court which will include administrative functions and extensive computer work in the Judiciary’s case management system. Duties will involve strong interaction with the Clerk’s Office, the Department of the Attorney General, the Office of the Public Defender; state agencies, members of the Bar as well as the general public; responsible for handling case scheduling inquiries, the distribution of calendars, notifications, and other related clerical duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Education such as may have been gained through: graduation from an accredited high school, supplemented by courses in business, public or court administration or a related field
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of court rules, procedures, policies, legal documentation pertaining to the case scheduling process
  • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures
  • Ability to maintain accurate and complex office records
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and extensive data entry experience in the Judiciary’s case management system
