About The Position

The Roasted Rooster & MOMS Pretzels Assistant Captain helps spread happiness by supporting all aspects of daily operations at both locations and upholding KKF standards. This role ensures team members are properly trained and following KKF policies and shop procedures, guests enjoy exceptional experiences and lasting memories, and work and guest areas remain clean, organized, and safe. The Assistant Captain also communicates concerns and recommendations to the Captain and Coach to support strong team performance and shop results. Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks in all phases of Roasted Rooster and MOMS Pretzels operations and jump in to assist wherever needed.
  • Ensure all areas and team members are properly set and ready for service and support a total food service approach within the Village.
  • Provide feedback for team member check-ins and follow/advocate all training and operational processes.
  • Deliver outstanding guest service by creating a friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging every guest, and maintaining strong product knowledge and service standards.
  • Assign tasks to team members as required and help ensure labor laws are followed.
  • Conduct orders, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and assist in creating and participating in daily sales promotions to pursue shop goals.
  • Oversee quality control of ingredients and finished products, ensure proper rotation and dating, and keep recipes confidential while following company cooking methods and policies.
  • Create and manage daily prep and task lists and ensure all areas are clean, stocked, and presentable.
  • Accurately handle money transactions, close registers, reconcile cash, balance deposits against daily sales, and complete and distribute the Daily Report.
  • Maintain required operational logs, support ServSafe-level cleaning standards, open and close the shop as needed, know tour schedules and preferences, and uphold a working knowledge of the POS system.
